Mental illness and deaths by suicide are on the rise. People are, more and more, claiming their lives are purposeless and valueless. The existential therapists are mostly right when they say that our neuroses or mental illnesses are a product of an underlying existential vacuum and that addressing the will to meaning is the best way to heal such a hole. The Tweaking Optimism Podcast is hosted by Adam Mosley and will typically feature guests from various backgrounds spanning a wide variety of topics regarding existential ideas, psychological concepts, religion, and philosophy in general.

I am not sure how far I will get with this project or how many people I will be able to talk with, but I feel compelled to try.

I find that if I could, at the very least, bringing awareness to the purpose famine, I would consider this series a success.

We are growing more mentally ill, and we are all becoming more aimless. I think that the best thing we can do right now is looking to those who have in no small way, been able to hold onto a sense of purpose regardless of the circumstances. I am not sure how far I will get with this project or how many people I will be able to talk with, but I feel compelled to try.I find that if I could, at the very least, bringing awareness to the purpose famine, I would consider this series a success.
