Let’s suppose you’re curious about how you were affected by propaganda over this election cycle.

In that case, you can gain a pretty decent understanding by assessing how you processed the news about Biden winning.

If you felt deep relief in the simple fact that this season is over and you had no feelings towards either candidate, you were likely affected very little by propaganda.

If in seeing the election come out in Biden’s favor, you felt extreme joy and elation, almost as if an evil demon were slain and the world had finally stepped into a bright and heavenly meridian.

You were deeply impacted by the election propaganda.

Likewise, if you felt, in seeing that Biden had won, that the red terror was en route to swallow up the western world and you now believe that we’re all headed for the gulags, then you also were deeply impacted by propaganda.

Propaganda is dangerous and impacts us in ways which we’re often not aware.

If you were manipulated this year I recommend a little less news and social media next election cycle.

We are engulfed by propaganda. Resisting it may be a challenge. But Christians of all people should be up to that challenge. “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Eph. 6: 12).
